Being so close to a well-known ski area makes the farm Ronsol an ideal base for your winter holidays in the Dolomites. The Alpe di Siusi is just five kilometers and the Val Gardena ski area twelve kilometers from the farm. The Alpe di Siusi skiing area offers 60 kilometers of family-friendly ski slopes and 60 km of well-prepared cross-country tracks. The never-ending landscape on the Alpe di Siusi is a real paradise for cross-country skiers. The ski schools offer courses, and the winter sports park has a fun park for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. At least 175 kilometers of slopes await you in the world cup skiing area Val Gardena. Expert skiers can enjoy a special adventure by skiing the “Sella Tour”, a tour around the Sella massif in the Dolomites. Ski touring fans also have the opportunity to embark on a guided tour around the Dolomites.

Snowshoeing, ice skating and tobogganing offer great variety for your winter holidays at our farm Ronsol. It would be a pleasure to accompany you to a weekly walking-tour in the winter. The “Moonlight Classic” is a cross-country race that takes place in a full moon night in January. The traditional country wedding of Castelrotto in January is the time to see traditional costumes in all their glory as the brides of the area come out to marry. The party parade starts in San Valentino and carries on by sledge through the snowy landscape down to Castelrotto. In March, the Alpe di Siusi is host to an unusual festival in the alpine huts and on the meadows: Swing on Snow. During this festival, you can listen to traditional folk music and jazz. You see, a winter holiday here with us at the farm is more than just a skiing holiday!

Enjoy the spirit of advent during your holiday in Castelrotto
The advent spirit in December comes with the Christmas market in Castelrotto and when the well-known Kastelruther Spatzen folk music group plays their Christmas concert. The towns in our area also put on music for your enjoyment. Wandering through the decoratively presented wooden stalls at the market, a special Christmas ambiance will surround you. Discover typical South Tyrolean delicacies, traditional artisan goods, and a whole range of Christmas decorations and presents. The scent of cinnamon and mulled wine, the Christmas songs and trumpeting – and if there is snow, it will be a Christmas experience you will never forget.
