The Farmhouse
Our farm is situated at an altitude of 1280 m above sea level. The agglomeration San Valentino is extremely sunny and in close proximity to the villages of Siusi and Castelrotto. Both can be reached in 5 minutes by car from the farmhouse. The Alpe di Siusi lies in 6 km distance. During Winter a free shuttle bus stopping right at our house will bring you to either village and to the station for the Alpe di Siusi cable car as well as to the more distant village of Ortisei in the Gardena valley.
We cultivate 7 hectares of meadows, 8 hectares of high altitude pastures on the Alpe di Siusi, including 11 hectares of forest. The pastures deliver the feed for our domestic animals, the forest the wood for heating our home during winter. On the farm we live from milk production and our livestock. We rent out rooms as a secondary income. As our guest you will be able to experience the daily farm life in first person. The children for example feed our rooster and chickens or taste the fresh goat milk after the have assisted the Grandfather while milking the animals.
